The East Coast Blues Society (ECBS) is a not for profit organization who strives to nurture and promote
Blues music throughout Atlantic Canada.
The organization promotes public awareness of Blues musicians, local and otherwise.
The ECSB fosters mutually supportive interactions amongst artists, music organizations and the general public.
The ECSB is an affiliate of the Blues Foundation located in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mission
The mission of the East Coast Blues Society is to function as a not-for-profit organization; to nurture and promote Blues music throughout Atlantic Canada; to promote public awareness of Blues musicians, local and otherwise; to support and network with other Blues associations with similar goals and objectives, to organize, participate or support events as determined by the Board of Directors; and to foster mutually supportive interactions amongst artists, music organizations, and the general public.
Vision
The East Coast Blues Society is striving to be the most recognized and respected blues organization in the Maritimes, we want the organization's members to work and grow both professionally and creatively, we want to increase awareness and popularity of the genre and we hope to preserve the history of blues culture well into the future.
